It's not too hard to set up, and that's one of the printers' USPs anyway. I'd advise everybody to use the network functionality, either over cable or over Wi-Fi. So this solution is not the prettiest with the cable lying around, but at least I don't have to spend any more time (AKA money) on this.Thank you for all the help.
